This policy explains what Kleersonic collects, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask of us. We collect as little as the service needs, we don't sell personal data, and we don't use your recordings to train AI models.
Your files are cleaned on your device
Kleersonic removes noise from audio and video inside your web browser. Cleaning never sends your recordings, their file names or their content to us or to anyone else. The only exceptions are your choice: on a paid plan you can save a file to your library and transcribe a file in your library (both below).
What we receive
Before a file is cleaned, the app checks with us that the job fits your plan. For that we receive only:
- the file's duration, size and container format (for example “mp4”), and whether it is audio or video;
- your account, so the job counts towards your plan's monthly allowance;
- an anonymised, short-lived network signal used only to prevent abuse of the free plan. It can't identify you and isn't kept in a form that can be traced back to your IP address.
Your account
You can read our site without an account; cleaning a file needs one. An account (on the free plan or a paid plan) is created when you sign in with Google; we then store your email address, name and profile picture, your plan and the time you've cleaned this month.
While you are signed in we also store the timezone and language your browser reports (you can set your own timezone and country on your profile) and your approximate country. For each sign-in we keep its time, how you signed in, the country, and a general description of the device, such as “Chrome on Windows, desktop”. We never store your IP address or your browser's detailed technical identifiers.
Payments
All payments are handled by Razorpay, our payment provider. You enter your card, UPI or bank details only on Razorpay's secure payment page, never on our site: we never receive, see or store your card number, security code or bank details. Razorpay processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. From Razorpay we keep only what we need to run your subscription and our accounts: the plan, its status and billing period, and for each payment its amount, currency, date, status and any refund, with Razorpay's reference numbers. Invoices are issued by Razorpay.
Your library (optional, paid plans)
On a paid plan you can keep files in a private library, up to your plan's storage. A file is stored only when you upload it there or click “Save to library” — that uploads it. It is stored securely and encrypted, and only you can open it. We keep each file's title (by default its file name), size, length and type so we can show them to you. We never look at, analyse or share stored files.
Transcription (optional, paid plans)
On a paid plan you can transcribe files in your library. Only when you start a transcription, the audio of that file is sent in short parts over an encrypted connection, through our servers, to a service provider that turns speech into text for us. It is sent with zero data retention: the audio is processed and deleted straight away, and it is never stored, logged or used to train AI models, by us or by the provider.
The transcript comes back to your browser and is shown only there. We don't store it: copy or download it before you leave the page. For each transcription we keep only its metadata: the file's duration, the language chosen or detected, and the time it used from your plan.
Analytics
We measure how the site is used without cookies and without tracking you: visits are counted anonymously, and we can't link a visit to you or follow you from one day to the next. We keep only which page was visited and the approximate country. We also count how many files are cleaned and whether cleaning succeeded. None of this includes your files, their names or their content.
Error reports
When something goes wrong, the app may send us a short error report so we can fix the problem. Personal details such as file names, email addresses and links are removed before it is stored.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of carefully chosen service providers to run Kleersonic: cloud hosting, secure data storage, content delivery, sign-in with Google, speech recognition for transcriptions (with zero data retention), and payments through Razorpay. They process personal data only to provide their service to us, under written data protection terms, and some of them operate outside your country under recognised safeguards for international transfers. Google and Razorpay handle the details you give them directly under their own privacy policies. We never sell personal data or share it for advertising. You can ask us for the current list of providers at any time.
How long we keep data
- Job and transcription records (the details above, without any media, file names or text), visit counts and sign-in history: deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Library files: until you delete them or your account.
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Payment and subscription records: as long as tax and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account.
- Error reports: until the problem is fixed and the report is no longer useful.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and similar laws, you can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, receive a copy, or have it deleted, and you can complain to your data protection authority. Deleting your account (Profile → Danger zone → Delete account) removes your account, your sign-in history and every library file at once; a paid plan is cancelled immediately, with no further charges. For anything else, write to us and we will reply within 30 days.
Children
Kleersonic is not meant for children under 13, and paid plans require an adult or a parent's or guardian's consent.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
